It’s great to hear that a new football initiative in Johnstone being led by former professional player Tony Gervaise, who played for Clydebank and Hamilton Accies, is hitting the target with parents and children. The programme delivered by social enterprise Real Football for Youths, is attracting dozens of mothers and their pre-school children to weekly classes at St Anthony’s Primary School. Kids from Spateston pre-five centre, Auchenlodment Primary, St David’s Primary and Cochrane Castle Primary are also involved. The variety of games helps children to develop general fitness and a range of movement in their early years.
