Down’s syndrome Awareness Week

It was a pleasure to meet and talk with representatives from Down’s Syndrome Scotland (DSS) who were busy in the Scottish Parliament raising awareness of the genetic disorder and telling us, as politicians, how we can help. I learned more about the matters that impact on people with Down’s syndrome and their families. DSS focuses solely on the needs of people with Down’s syndrome and their family carers. They provide information, support and services as well as champion the rights of those who live with Down’s syndrome. If you would like to know more about the support they can offer just head to www.dsscotland.org.uk or call 0131 313 4225.
